How the treatment book is arranged

The whole treatment book can be opened on this site. At 180 pages, reading it front to back takes a while. It was not made to be read in order but to be opened at the page you need — so knowing the structure first makes it much quicker.

It is built in three layers

The book runs PART 3 → 17 categories → 54 treatments. A PART is the broad division, a category is the axis handled within it, and a treatment is the individual item. Narrowing from the top down reaches any item in three steps.

Start with the category overview

Each category opens with a single overview page setting out the view by which that category was grouped. Reading this before the individual items shows why an item you are interested in sits where it does.

What is on an item page

An item page carries the name, a one-line description, the body text, and a table of duration, recovery, anaesthesia and interval. Items whose programme divides into several compositions carry that table separately. Most of what a consultation covers is already on this page.

Opening straight from the menu

The menu at the top right lists every PART, category and treatment name. Selecting a name opens the book at that page — there is no need to page through from the front.

If something does not settle as you read, leave it and ask in consultation. The book does not stand in for a consultation; it is closer to agreeing the words beforehand.
